Therapeutic Forest Kindergarten!

Imagine education happening naturally through living experiences of work and play in connection with the natural world and each other. This therapeutic farm and forest experience is led by April Blair, experienced Waldorf Teacher, Nature Mentor, Permaculturist, Artist, and Mother who incorporates a resilience-based trauma-informed lens, as well as bringing therapeutic Sensory Integration activities from her training with the HANDLE Institute and Waldorf Learning Support. She is passionate about the creation (re-creation!) of a culture based on mutual respect and benefit for all, where diverse needs can be met.

This offering is mostly outdoors with a cozy indoor space available, we border hundreds of acres of beautiful forest and have access to gardens, chickens and sheep. The children are prepared for academic learning through healthy and intentional neuro-development that forms through movement, rhythm, diverse sensory experiences, and a nervous systems that feel safe. Our days will be full of song, storytelling, games, art, wildcrafting, gardening, animal care, cooking, and a lot of free play and exploration!
