Tending the Hearth Within

Luminaries and Herbal Treats

The inspiration for this offering came from our wildly successful Herb Camps this past summer. Many of the children really wanted to continue and were inspired to go deeper with the plants and each other. To really know the plants, it is helpful to journey with them through the changing seasons. This is that opportunity. In addition to this Autumn series, after a short winter break, we will be offering a Spring series, followed by our Summer Camps to complete the wheel of the year.

Tuition for the 4-week series is $300 + $30 supply fee

Individual sessions are $80 plus an $8 supply fee

If you need a tuition adjustment to be able to attend, or your child is outside the age range but you think they would be a good fit, please inquire:

Mythic Village

We are really excited to be offering this new Village Building experience as part of our Autumn Nature Immersion Series!

This is an entirely outdoor offering that gathers for 6 Fridays:

September 19th - October 24th, 9am - 3pm

On Salzman Rd in Corbett, OR

For ages 7-13

We’re building the village, literally! Learn bushcraft construction skills; knots, cordage, lashing, pulleys, and more, as we build our basecamp village and begin to gather provisions for the winter.

Think Ewok village meets The Shire sprinkled with Swiss Family Robinson, but more enlightened!

As we hear stories from around the world on the building of homes, villages, and even empires, the fabric of what makes groups of people thrive or fall will be weaving in our consciousness as we learn to work together and make decisions to co-create our base camp village in the forest. How do we create a harmonious village? Do we have different skills? Does everyone have a role? Does someone want to rule and exclude others? Is someone afraid to share their voice? As we play with the laws of physics, moving heavy objects and potentially creating weight-bearing structures, we will have to depend on each other. As we move through the early Autumn season and think ahead toward winter, another important thing to consider, besides creating shelter, is gathering food.  We will be foraging and processing wild foods during our time together, as well as building our awareness skills through stealth games, and challenges.

All held within a container of Magic and Mystery.
